Track Name: Another One
I used to dream of how you’d sleep
In the house we’d buy, down on Alston Street
If you would lock up our notes
on the mirror, I guess I don’t know

I’ve waited 27 years in life to call you my love
I guess I’m gonna have to wait, Another One
I thought I found you once before but my hand wouldn’t fit the glove
I guess I’m gonna have to wait, Another One

I’m starting to think you don’t exist
What once was blind hope, has turned to bitterness
You’re the only thing I’ve never found
I know you’re out there but I’m beginning to have my doubts

I’ve waited 27 years in life to call you my love
I guess I’m gonna have to wait, Another One
I thought I found you once before but my hand wouldn’t fit the glove
I guess I’m gonna have to wait, Another One
I guess I’m gonna have to wait, Another One
Track Name: Son of Amittai
The sea was a raging swell
Around the boat from the town where we dwelled
Louder and louder the rain would pour On our knees in vain we’d cry no more

When I run away I don’t get far
I know the way but the road too hard

Each crash of the wave was you calling my name From your voice I heard, just the same
The sea came to rest as they grabbed my chest To the sea I flew as the dark figure grew
It swallowed me whole only to show
You held my life and it’s under your control

You stop me dead right in my tracks
And call me home, when I don’t turn back

I’m waitin for my fish to come
I’m waitin for my fish to come
I’m waitin for my fish to come
How long will I have to run
How long will I have to run
I was waitin for my fish to come
Track Name: Give Me A Sign
She was a Gemini
Just like the sun in my life
Oh a big pretty smile that could light up a room
like a moon in the night
She wore her tattoos well
with flowers in her hair
Her mysterious eyes they didn't tell lies Like she'll always be there

Just give me a sign
Let me know our love is alive Just give me a sign
Let me know our love is alive

Oh I wouldn't waste a moment she was around
She was in my arms the next day she's gone
Nowhere to be found
She's a wanderer
Can't nothing tie her down
I need her here to know she cares Don't leave me now

Just give me a sign
Let me know our love is alive Just give me a sign
Let me know our love is alive Just give me a sign
Let me know our love is alive

I'll look to the stars so very far
And the heavens above will shine

Just give me a sign
Let me know our love is alive Just give me a sign
Let me know our love hasn't died Just give me a sign
Let me know our love is alive Just give me a sign
Track Name: Running Man
I'm on a midnight train going steady and fast
Got my 44 and food to last
Until the morning light where I beg for a dime
To catch my next ride run from ghosts in my life

I'm a running man

I ain’t got no debt no one do I owe
Except for my pops and his fields that grow
Where I grew up quick and loved to love
Every girl until push came to shove

I'm a running man

This life I chose just ain’t a breeze
One thing it offers is being carefree
No wife or kids or a family
It's a running life and it's for me

I'm a running man

This life I chose doesn’t come free
Got no wife or kids or a job to keep
It’s a price I’ll pay to live carefree
But it's a running life and it's meant for me

I'm a running man with my head held high
I'm a running man chasing horizon lines
I'm a running man when I sleep at night

I'm a running man
Track Name: River Bottom
The Sun has disappeared again
It's 30 minutes past 10
The smoke filled bar is calling me home
That old tin roof and the cinderblocks it stands on

We make our way down
The uneven road less traveled on

Check your troubles at the door
Tequila filled laughs beg for more
River Bottom in stereo
Wastin my money
Wastin my time

They'll greet you with those toothless smiles
Felt tables breaking in line
They’ll keep you stumbling on whiskey & rye
Leaving you in the morning light

We make our way down
The uneven road less traveled on

Check your troubles at the door
Tequila filled laughs beg for more
River Bottom in stereo
Wastin my money
Wastin my time
In this double wide
Track Name: Louisiana Cotton Picker
He's a tall black man weathered and worn
Grew up in the fields in the shadow of the company store

Ain't nothing you can say that's gonna set him free
Living under a bridge still a slave to society
Louisiana cotton picker you can see him in you and me

He don't know how to write, never learned to read Was called by the Lord to shout and preach

Emerged from the river to float downstream
Born in them waters screaming death to society
Louisiana cotton picker and his soul is free

He has little to love and plenty to hate
Oppression is a friend that he just can't shake

He walks in redemption under neon lights of the street
Speaks the red letter to the junkies of society
Louisiana cotton picker he’s the same as you and me
